'Bionic' Bacteria Created In Lab

Surprisingly, two current worldwide problems, disease and global warming, can be combated with artificially enhanced bacteria. With this bacteria, both synthetic drugs, and biofuels, can be created and used to fight these critical problems. Researchers in La Jolla, CA have created bacteria that can  make "unnatural"amino acids which add on to the existing 20 amino acids. . This is an important research since it can benefit the planet in  two different ways. Drugs can last longer in the blood stream, and chemicals can be manufactured in a way that helps the environment.
